Getting started
What Scrip is
A community's own dollar on Solana, minted and redeemed 1:1 with USDC on one shared reserve.
Scrip lets a community issue its own dollar on Solana. A memecoin, an app, a DAO or a creator names it, and anyone can then mint it one for one with USDC and redeem it the same way. Every Scrip stands on one shared reserve of USDC and tokenized Treasuries, and what that reserve earns goes where each issuer routes it.
What a Scrip is
A Scrip is a Token-2022 token with your community's name, ticker and logo. Its mint authority belongs to the Scrip program, so new units exist only when someone deposits USDC, and they leave circulation when someone redeems them. Each unit is a claim on one dollar in the reserve.
Holders see it in their wallet like any other token, and every unit redeems for a dollar. Issuers get a public page for it, with its supply, its route, the yield routed to date and a mint button.
One reserve under every Scrip
Every Scrip's dollars sit in the same reserve. A conversion burns one Scrip and mints another against the same dollars, which stay in the reserve, so any Scrip converts to any other at par.
The reserve keeps a USDC buffer that pays redemptions on the spot, and invests the rest in a tokenized Treasury product once its admin has configured one.
Where the yield goes
Each Scrip has a route, set by its issuer:
- Buyback: the yield buys the community's token on Jupiter, then burns it or sends it to a wallet the issuer names.
- Holders: every holder's balance grows in place.
- Treasury: the yield is paid in USDC to the issuer's treasury wallet.
- Split: any mix of the three.
The keeper service harvests the Scrips in turn and sends each one's yield down its route, one operation a minute.
Where to start
- Quickstart: connect a wallet and mint your first Scrip.
- Issue a Scrip: name your community's dollar.
- How Scrip works: the four steps in detail.
- HTTP API: for agents and integrations.
