FAQ
Short answers to common questions.
Is a Scrip always worth a dollar?
Each Scrip is minted for one dollar of USDC and redeems for one dollar of USDC. Every mint, redemption and conversion values the reserve first and goes through only when the reserve holds at least what it owes. If a Scrip routes yield to holders, every holder's balance grows in place, and each unit still redeems for a dollar.
What backs my Scrip?
The shared reserve: a USDC buffer and tokenized Treasuries, held by the Scrip program on Solana. The Reserve page shows both, live.
Who can mint a Scrip?
Anyone, with USDC. The issuer names a Scrip and sets its route; minting and redeeming are open to every wallet.
Can the issuer create Scrip without depositing?
No. The program holds every Scrip's mint authority, and new units exist only against deposited USDC.
How fast is a conversion?
One transaction: the first Scrip is burned and the second minted together, at par, usually finalized in under a minute.
What does the issuer earn?
Whatever their route sends: buybacks of their community token, growth in every holder's balance, or USDC to their treasury. The issuer chooses the route and can change it after the waiting period.
Why did the app say my previous transaction is still settling?
Scrip waits for one transaction's outcome before sending another from the same wallet, so nothing is ever applied twice. Once the first one finalizes, carry on.
Which wallets work?
Any Solana wallet that supports the Wallet Standard, such as Phantom, Solflare or Backpack. See Wallets and signing in.
Where can I see my transactions?
The Overview lists your recent transactions through Scrip, with links to Solana Explorer. Each Scrip's page lists its own activity.
