Getting started
Wallets and signing in
Which wallets work, and what Scrip asks them to sign.
Scrip works with Solana wallets that support the Wallet Standard, the common interface wallets register with the page. Phantom, Solflare and Backpack all do, among others.
Connecting
Choose Connect wallet in the app and pick a wallet from the list. The list shows the wallets installed in your browser. The app remembers your choice and reconnects quietly the next time you visit.
Signing in
After connecting, your wallet shows a short message to sign, in the Sign-In With Solana format. It names the app's domain and your address, says that it authorizes no transaction, and expires five minutes after it's issued. Signing it proves the address is yours; it moves no funds.
The signed message opens a session that lasts twelve hours. When it ends, the app asks you to sign in again before your next operation.
Approving transactions
For every operation, Scrip prepares the transaction and your wallet asks you to approve it. Approve, and the app sends it to Solana and follows it until it is finalized.
Wallets on mainnet often add their own safety checks to a transaction before you sign, such as an assertion that your balances end up where the wallet's simulation expected. Scrip accepts those additions alongside its own instructions, as long as everything Scrip prepared is unchanged.
Switching accounts
If you switch accounts inside your wallet, the app ends the session for the old account and asks the new one to sign in. Your balances and activity always belong to the account that signed in.
