Mint and redeem
USDC in, Scrip out, and back again.
Minting turns USDC into a Scrip; redeeming turns it back. Both happen at par, from the Scrip's page.
Mint
Open the Scrip's page from Scrips and choose Mint.
Enter the dollars to pay. Max fills in your wallet's USDC balance.
Choose Mint and approve in your wallet. When it's finalized, the Scrip is in your wallet.
The USDC joins the shared reserve and the Scrip's supply grows by the same amount.
Redeem
On the Scrip's page, choose Redeem.
Enter the dollars to redeem. Max fills in your whole balance.
Choose Redeem and approve. The Scrip is burned and USDC arrives in your wallet in the same transaction.
Redemptions are paid from the reserve's USDC buffer, which the keeper checks every minute and brings back to its target from Treasury holdings.
Amounts
Amounts are in dollars, exact to six decimal places. If a Scrip routes yield to holders, your balance grows in place, and each unit still redeems for a dollar.
